Postnatal Doula

Postnatal Doula

"Women who are well supported after giving birth are less likely to develop Postnatal Depression"

The first few weeks of a baby's life are so precious but they can certainly be challenging and tiring at times. My aim as your Postnatal Doula is to help you to have the space and opportunity to enjoy and appreciate this time.

I offer flexible support tailored to your needs. Support could include helping to look after and include older siblings; driving and accompanying you to appointments if you are unable; light housework; assistance with the bathing, changing and general care of your baby if you need it and support with breastfeeding.

I'll be a listening ear if you need one; a supportive presence, I can help you to access resources in your area or look after your baby while you have a much needed rest or a relaxing bath.

"Once I returned home I struggled...and I was anxious as a new mum when it came to bathing him. Roz was there in the background, always supporting and never interfering, allowing me to grow in confidence as I bonded with my son. Sleep was such a precious commodity in the early days and Roz gave me back some 'me time' to have a bath or simply gain back some much needed sleep."
